A couple of weeks ago, my tito Roy got married in windy Tagaytay. It was one of the most fun gatherings that we had, since there are also a lot of birthday celebrants in our family for the month of February. Indeed, there were many reasons to celebrate. π
We drove up to the city on Friday, to settle in early for the festivities the following day. It was to be a whole day of celebration as the ceremony will be in the morning, followed by a lunch reception, AND an after-party! π

We stayed at tito Ogie’s house in Splendido Taal, and what a place it is! With a pool, and an unobstructed view of the lake, I almost forgot that there is no Wi-Fi; and data coverage sucks in this part of the city. Well… almost. Hahah! π

For the first night though, we were mostly indoors, hogging the videoke! A staple in every Filipino get-together. π That, with tequila, and you’ve got really confident singers in the house. Hahah!
Come morning, we all had to get up early for the 10 a.m. ceremony. It was held at San Antonio de Padua, in Silang. A simple, and intimate celebration, with only family and closest friends present.
Lunch reception followed at Angelfields Nature Sanctuary, along Sta. Rosa road. You won’t miss the place because of the open space, and a huge hall that is immediately visible from the main road.

I loved Angelfields’ Pavilion! It reminded me of a theatre/orchestra hall’s interiors. With the high ceiling, and walkway spiraling down to the base, plus the open-air hall; it was perfect. The design of the building was fashioned in a way that fresh and cool Tagaytay air is circulating inside, but not to a point of having unwanted gusts of wind. This place is two thumbs up for me. π

The catering and setup were all in-house. Not bad at all. π
It was a quick lunch reception, because there was another party held in the evening. π In Splendido, we came back to, again, another wonderful setup of purple against white. More food and booze on this one! :))
It was a whole-day affair; and everyone, from all ages, enjoyed every bit of the celebration. Truly, nothing beats family time. π Wishing tito Roy and tita Mhel wonderful years ahead! β€
