As 2017 comes to an end, I reminisce my travels, time with friends, and moments spent with family. Is it just me, or were the past 12 months crazy fast?! Nothing life-changing naman, but I have to admit, it was a good year. Chill and carefree, just the way I like it.
At the beginning of the year, I wrote about making a fitness/health resolution in this post, and I’m really proud that I pulled through with it. Nothing big. I didn’t go on strict diets, but I did push myself to be healthier by exercising regularly (that’s 30 minutes of cardio at least 4 times a week), increasing my water intake (because I read that THE ultimate peg, Gal Gadot, drinks at least one gallon of water a day, hahaha!), and my personal favorite – getting lots of sleep. 🙂
On this year alone, I spent more than 1,200 hours in an aircraft. That’s 1,200 hours of smiling, patience, serving chicken and beef, and doing the best job in the world.
This year’s most eaten dessert has to be ice cream. I think I ate at least one serving per week. So in case you’re wondering why I lost zero pounds despite the exercise, it’s because of my motto, “Thou shall not diet.” 😀
I also experienced all four seasons. These photos are during spring in Tokyo, summer in Siargao, autumn in California, and winter in Brussels. Growing up in a tropical country, my favorite is, and always will be, summer. ❤
Living in Qatar for six years has been really amazing, except that I’m away from family. Luckily, I always get a Los Angeles flight, which gives me three days each month to spend time with them. That, and my 24-hour layover in Manila, is all I need in this world. Hahaha!
I also learned how to roller skate and fell on my butt just 1 time; waited 10 hours to see Foo Fighters at CalJam; visited my 6th out of the seven new Wonders of the World, got 4 pieces of KFC fried chicken instead of just 3 because it’s closing time, etcetera, etcetera.
There are a gazillion little blessings that I’m grateful for, and I wouldn’t have things go any other way. Thank you, 2017!
